Time continues to fly!
It is almost the end of October and I am looking forward to our Open House at
Irma Coulson P.S. We continue to focus on the 6+ 1 writing traits in language
and the students will start to use their dot jots (thoughts) to write me a
letter this week to display their understanding of their book they are reading
during read to self.
In math we are moving
into multiplication and division. Continuing to solve word problems using our
problem solving pencil.
Grade 5
*divide three-digit whole numbers by one-digit whole
numbers
* multiply two-digit whole numbers by two-digit whole
numbers
*solve problems involving the addition, subtraction,
multiplication of whole numbers, using a variety of mental strategies
* multiplication tables to 12
Grade 4
